Saunas

In order for your saunas to fit seamlessly in your home, hotel or spa center, we offer custom made-to-measure saunas for a perfect fit.

Saunas with electric heaters vs. infrared panels

We offer our clients an alternative between saunas with electric heaters and saunas with infrared panels (a combination of both saunas is possible in the right conditions). Both models are built with specially treated, high quality spruce or pine and include all the necessary accessories.

Benefits in using saunas

  • Increases heart rate and blood circulation
  • Detoxification
  • Stress reduction and relaxation
  • Improves skin complexion
  • Faster recovery from injuries

Which One?

Traditional Saunas

Traditional Saunas equipped with electric heaters can be just about any size. The electric heater heats the air in the sauna to the desired degrees (between 80-110ºC ). The high temperature of the air in the sauna increases the body’s heart rate and blood circulation and causes the body to sweat, eliminating toxins. The traditional sauna takes at least 35 minutes to generate enough heat to reach these temperatures.

Infrared Saunas

Infrared saunas use panels that radiate infrared heat. Infrared radiant heat is a completely safe form of energy that heats objects by a process called direct light conversion. Direct light conversion warms only the object and does not raise the temperature of the air in the sauna. This type of energy travels deep into the body and is thought to increase circulation and nourish damaged tissue.

This allows for

  • A comparatively lower temperature (around 55º C) in infrared saunas.
  • Deeper tissue penetration.
  • Can be used almost right away rather than waiting for sauna to heat.
  • Good for small spaces

Traditional saunas

  • Higher temperature (80º C -110º C) so that the body can sweat and thus eliminate toxins
  • Takes at least 35min to warm up
  • Can be just about any size

Things to keep in mind

  • If the sauna is an interior sauna, the walls of the premise must be plastered;
  • The tiles/flooring must be laid;
  • 3-phase electricity is recommended for electric heaters even though up to 8kW heaters can be installed on monophase electricity;
  • Ventilation is not necessary for either sauna type
